Old Business:

·         Social Media – Randi said she had been very busy with work but plans on doing a year in review type posting soon.

·         Active Duty Reconnect Evaluation – Several board members discussed the Executive Committee’s deliberations about the program.  The Committee has passed a motion that this year’s program would focus on giving ‘1 Day” of events to military members who return home to the Bitterroot area for leave. This could entail meals out for families, a family ski trip, etc.  This does not preclude the more expansive program from being resurrected in the future.

·         Fundraising – Doug reported that the filming for the fundraising video occurred that morning at Jack’s Place.  About 10 members participated.  No ETC for the video but it shouldn’t be too long.

New Business

·         CSD#1 Needs – These were covered under Sarah Fryer’s talk.  The Post will be participating in the upcoming downtown Corvallis Trunk or Treat on Halloween.

·         Honoring the Military Day at UM – Doug is working on the Jeep being part of the day at UM on Nov 4th.  We will be part of a static display on the University Oval prior to the game.

·         Future Fundraising Opportunities – Doug is also looking into the possibilities of the Post being a concessionaire at the Darby Rodeo.  There was a voice vote of confidence for Doug to continue to investigate.

Good of The American Legion:

·         Pint Night – Jim McHugh brought up holding another Pint night at The Hops Brewery in Victor.  The membership was enthusiastic, and he will investigate available dates.

·           Monthly Pot of Gold Drawing – Member Robert Leever’s name was drawn. He was not present to     win the $500 Frontier Guns and Ammo gift certificate.
