were submitted. Marc Sabin motioned to
accept minutes as submitted. Bobby
seconded. Motion passed by voice vote.
Guests
and New Members – Paul Ashcraft,
potential member; Linda Niezgodski, Lois Graves – ALA, Lisa Flack, potential
ALA member.
Program –
Buddy calls were made to 71
members who had not participated in a Post activity over the past 12
months. Connections were made with 17. Two were referred to Brian Wrede for follow
up. Messages were left with 18. The
remaining were bad numbers or had full voice mail boxes.
CSD#1 Superintendent Pete
Joseph spoke at length about their charter school initiative. He will find out by the end of January about
their proposal for three charter schools in the district. Each having a different focus. One would be called “Salute to Service” in
which he asked the Post for ideas for curriculum and volunteer opportunities.
Membership – 2023-24 new
members and renewals to date are 181. This year’s goal is now 210. (86% of
goal).

Military Program: See attached report.

ALERT – Member Steve Davis spoke about his recent work in developing an Air Arm
of the team. He asked for anyone with
experience or interest in flying drones to contact him.

Radio Club – Doug mentioned upcoming events:
License testing on 1/6, Darby Dog Derby on 1/13&14, and Winter Field
Day on 1/27&28. There was general
discussion about offering to purchase a larger display screen for BJ’s back
room to facilitate the radio club’s presentations. Jack Berman and Doug will approach BJ’s
management for further discussion with them.
